Hi! Welcome to my page. Here you will find artwork I have done over the past few years as well as recent work. I draw, paint, throw pottery (on a potters wheel), and do black and white photography. I love exploring new mediums and I continue to take studio classes so I can improve my craft. I am a member of the Pasquotank Arts Council in Elizabeth City, NC (http://www.pasquotankarts.org). You can find my work displayed in their gallery. Please scroll down to view examples of my work and find out what I might be able to make for you. Original artwork makes great gifts! I can mat and frame my work for you. I have an associate who makes beautiful custom frames. Do you have a photograph you'd like to see in a painting or drawing? Do you want a work of art to adorn your home? If you have an idea and would like to make a request, don't hesitate to send me an email. |

After that, the classes will be very much student guided as each student has their own interests. $10/student for an hour session If a family has two students I will combine their lesson for $15/hour. |

Homes, Businesses, and Historic Buildings
Miller Home, pencil, 2005, 8"x10" |
Do you love your home? Are you moving and
wish you could capture the fondness you have for the home you're leaving?
Do you know someone in your family who would appreciate a drawing of their
childhood home? If you have an old photograph, or can take new photographs
of a home, I can draw it for you. I can capture your home during any
season. The Miller Home, displayed left, is covered in snow with the
daughter and granddaughter of the former residents building a small
snowman. These people were not in the photograph of the house, but I was
given an up-close photograph of the people in that spot so I could add
them to the drawing. I can do the same for you!
I would like to add, that I would be pleased to take photographs myself so I can have the most optimal photographs from which to draw your home. Pricing: 8"x10" (sizing may vary depending on structure of home) approximately: $250-350 matted, unframed (framing available for an additional price) 5"x9" (sizing may vary) approximately $175-250 matted, unframed (framing available for an additional price) |
|
Watercolor Pencil and Paint: pictures done from photographs This 8"x10" drawing is valued at approximately $100 based on time and materials. Pricing will vary depending on the amount of detail in the photograph. Portraits and photographs with multiple subjects require a greater amount of time. See below for pricing. |

Murals These photographs are of a little girl's room. The paper border and light purple walls were already completed by the homeowner before I began work. I mimicked the style of Disney's Winnie the Pooh movie and tied in the purple from the border. These paintings took me approximately 5 hours to complete. I use acrylic paint which is low odor and dries very quickly. A child could sleep in the room the very night a painting is done. I enjoy doing children's rooms because the themes are usually fun and whimsical. However, I could do other rooms as well. I could add a border to the top of a bathroom wall or detailed accents around a wall mirror. If you have just a vague idea of what you envision for your room I can bring your vision to life in sketches. For instance, if you want a nautical theme for your child's room, but don't know where to start, I can show you what I can do. If you like what you see we can set up a date and time to do the painting. Pricing: $30/hour
